Grand Jubilee 1976 Collection

The front page of Glas Koncila on 19 September 1976. The upper photo shows the ancient image of the Lady of the Croatian Great Baptismal Vow, which was carried in the procession of the Grand Jubilee (Cardinal Franjo Šeper is just behind). “The image of Our Lady,” moulded in silver and gold, is a replica of the Romanesque gable (11th century) found among the remains of the St. Mary Church near Knin in 1892. It is the oldest known figure of Our Lady in the Croatian art, which is celebrated as the “Lady of the Great Croatian Baptismal Vow.”
